                THE FRUSTRATED ROCKSTARS BIO

The Frustrated Rockstars are a team who have had their hands on the pulse of Atlanta and up the shirt of American pop culture since CDs were something you bought at a bank. Not since the heyday of Hall & Oates has their been a duo as in sync with each other’s vision of the possiblities of music as the The Frustrated Rockstars.

They met at Georgia State University, where they both received degrees in Journalism in 1998.  After storied stints on WRAS/Album 88, Justin Dunne became one of the most sought after mobile DJs in Atlanta, while Geoff Cole moved over to 96 Rock and later 94.9 the Bull as a popular on-air personality. Dunne followed his stint as a mobile DJ by becoming an award-winning freelance writer, a video journalist at CNN, and an editor working in the magazine field.

In 2002, the duo had a cult-followed show on 96 Rock where they had the most success of any weekend fill-in show in town.

Cole is the “Paul McCartney” of The Frustrated Rockstars, a technical perfectionist quick with the one-liners and master of the obscure fact.  Dunne, the “John Lennon” of the team, is the more caustic of the two, a guy who hands out his opinions as freely as band flyers.  He explains the vision for the show, “We want to blend the camaraderie and entertaining banter of a morning show with the cool and pace of a primetime television program.”  Together, they strike a balance that is simply too engaging to tune out.

For those about to talk, we salute you.
